We hope this community resource can help you in your filmmaking explorations by offering affordable access to expensive film equipment. By using this resource you are also supporting access for those on lower incomes, students, young people, independent filmmakers and a whole community finally breaking down the expensive barrier to this artforms full breadth of tools. 

The Film Cult is all about building an accessible, healthy alternative to the current destructive industry practices and we hope this project serves as a beacon for what is possible and inspires support for our continuation on this journey.

With this free resource, we hope to make costumes more accessible. We aim to provide items that may not usually be so easy to get within budget of small productions. We know how vital costumes are in creating authenticity, immersing both the audience and actors within the world you are creating.

Pay It Forward

Although we've managed to slash equipment prices there's people who still cannot afford it.

Consider paying it forward by purchasing a pay it forward account which will allow one of these people to have free access for a year.

Replacement Cost

This is to highlight how much you are saving! This is not what you would be charged to replace an item.

We have a fund for damaged items but also ask if you are responsible to cover some of the cost. If damage exceeds £300 we are able to make an insurance claim.

Late Fees

We charge 50p per item, per day that we are open. This would mean if you hadn't returned 5 items you would be charged £2.50 each day we are open for returns and they are not returned.
